Bill 25 aims to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information in the private sector. This reform modernizes the rules protecting personal information in Quebec so that they are better adapted to the new challenges posed by the current digital and technological environment.

As per the guidelines of Bill 25, in the event of a confidentiality incident, a record of such an incident will be kept and prompt action will be taken to reduce the risk of harm to the affected individuals.
